STOP MOTION FINAL-

What were your favorite/least favorite projects and why? What were the most useful things you learned that you can use beyond this class?

This is my final stop motion for this semester. My favorite projects are the tripod, the still life, the spot the difference, light graffiti and the stop motion project. It takes a lot of work and it's really time consuming but they are fun to do. My least favorite's are the photo montage and pop art.
The most useful things that I've learned in this semester is how to use the Photoshop and the Premiere Adobe Photoshop. How to shoot the right angles. How to adjust the brightness and exposures. How to use the tools and how to communicate with the models. This class helped to widen my ideas for photography. This will help me in the future since I love to take a lot of pictures and blogging.

I made 4 examples of recontextualized  images. Most of them are advertisements and some are only normal pictures. The Gatorade "Is It In You" ad: I changed it into Lung Cancer awareness, The Men's bathroom logo, I decided to change it to a X-Men Professor X logo, The "We Can Do It" ad by Rosie the Riveter, and made it for Manny Pacquiao since he lost the fight with Mayweather, it means that it doesn't mean he lost the fight, he's already a loser, He can still do it, My last photo is by Jermel Johnson, a ballerino. I changed it to a Snickers ad "You're Not You When You're Hungry".
I used the clone stamp, quick selection tools, crop tool and spot healing brush tool. I find this assignment hard but it's fun and it takes a lot of brain storming.

ASSIGNMENTS

Assignment #1:

Assignment #2:

This assignments help me with interacting with people or models. Assignment 1 helped me how to direct instructions by verbal and hand or body gestures. Assignment 2 helped how to direct the models what they need to do without saying anything but by hand gestures only. This skill will help me in the future how to easily interact with the models.

Still Life

This is is my "Still Life". The objects that I used represents who I really am.

1. Books-  I've got a lot of stuff to tell, to share but you gotta make an effort yourself first. Otherwise, I'll just keep them to myself.

2. Pencil- Creates an art and spin words into poetry. Inherently shares a link with nature.

3. Candle- If properly lit, it gives off warmth  and light. If improperly handled, it will set the whole place on fire without any second thought. I am sort of old-fashioned possibilities that are unlimited (colors, scents and materials) This represents my ever changing nature since I am never the same person.

4. Dice Roller- My every next move is unpredictable.

5. Glass- When you stare at it, you can't really see my reflection, but maybe when you change your perspective you can see me.

6. Guitar Picks- This represents how I'm in love with music by using my guitar and guitar pick.

7. Orange- When you at the skin, it's rough or tough. Sometimes it's sour and sometimes it's sweet. That's how I am.

8. Rubber Bands- I can be stretched so far until I snap.

9. Water- Water has many forms and shapes. It can be cold as ice, and hot as fire. It flows freely.

10. Pictures- My family. They represent me because they're the reason who and what I am right now.

Photoshop Effect

Answer in paragraph form: Should images of models that have been Photoshopped be labelled? Why or why not?

No. Photoshopped images shouldn't be labelled. Advertisers doesn't need to label if a photo is photoshopped because they post advertisements for the sake of increasing interest in the business. The purpose of ads is to attract attention to the business.

Answer in paragraph form: If steroids are illegal for athletes, should Photoshop be illegal for models?

No. Athletes/Body builders are using steroids to improve their performance and enhance their genetic capabilities. If Photoshop will be ban because it changes the physical features just by a mouse and a keyboard why do we still have cosmetic surgeons. Unrealistic images of every women/men in advertising get blamed for increasing in eating disorders and body image of problems among teenagers exposed of this type of media.
